The exhibition presents to the public for the first time ever the most important collection of gouaches by Giacomo Guardi (1764-1835) saved in a private collection along-side nineteen Venetian watercolours realised in the lagoon by Italian-slovenian painter Zoran Music (1909-2005). The journey into the Venice of long ago incorporates a veduta of Canal Grande by Bernardo Canal (1664-1744), father of the famous Canaletto; a very rare gouache by Joseph Baudin (c. 1692-c. 1753), a Madonna con Bambino by Antonio Guardi (1699-1760), Giacomo’s uncle.
